Hualian- Qing Shui Cliffs

This picture sums up probably our most relaxed and fun day thus far. We rented a scooter right next to our hotel and rode out to these famous West coast cliffs. The ride was super fun and the view exquisite. The huge green cliffs diving into the crystal blue tropical waters, all contrasted by the rough black beach. It was very surreal.

Us with our beloved scooter. Rick is pretty sold that he wants to get one now. And yes- as you can see- we wore helmets. (Super attractive at the end of the day in the heat all sweaty)

Rick on the hike down to the beach. This picture was taken facing South with the bright blue skies.

Beautiful black beach- I wanted to bottle some of it up to take home.

This picture was taken facing North- contrast with the South view- this has some darker clouds rolling over the hills. The weather along the coast can change pretty fast.

The water was sooo warm- probably upper 70's. It felt awesome. So awesome in fact that I got overly excited and waded out too far and got hit by a wave all the way up my pants. That was a really fun feeling for the hour long scooter ride back into the city. ;)
