Happy First Halloween!

Sophia premiere Halloween as our little cupcake! So cute you could eat her, couldn't you?

Petra as a hot dog (I think we maybe have a food issue? haha!)

I didn't get a good picture of all of us- but Rick and I were bakers at our Halloween party.

And 'da pumpkins. Taking on the social networking influences of the day.
Happy Halloween all!

10 months!

10 months?! Unbelievable!
Some of my favorite things about Sophia right now:
1. Up-down, touch the ground.... she is EVERYWHERE all the time. So fast at crawling and then getting up on anything and everything. Mommy won't be able to keep up much longer.
2. Jumping Baby! She love to bounce and jump, even when sitting down. Whether we're eating dinner, or at the grocery store, she loves to kick her legs and bounce. The most fun is if you jump, then she'll start doing it too.
3. Hi-fives and All Done- Sophia is learning hand gestures. She'll wave to people, does the sign for 'all done' when she's done eating, and will give you a hi-five about 80% of the time. Starting to learn to clap. It's too cute.
4. Sooo curious. When she's in her stroller she leans alllll the way as far as she can so she can see everything going on. We go on a walk almost everyday, and she never gets tired of watching the leaves, the trees, and of course Petra.
5. Cheerios! I think Sophia would marry cheerios if she could. Literally eats like a 3/4 box a week. It's insane. I told my pediatrician I thought she'd eat them all the time if I'd let her, and since she's so little, the Dr was like go for it! So no, I'm not a negligent mom who only feeds her daughter cheerios ;)
6. Sociable baby - she never cries when somebody else holds her. She just smiles and then proceeds to try and eat their face. Everyone at Church especially loves her cheery disposition.
These aren't my best pictures. One, Sophia had a cold and hadn't slept well - so her eyes are a little red. And two, I didn't realize my camera settings were wrong at first- and by the time I figured that out, she was done being told to sit still. Taking picture of a moving machine = hard. But she's so cute, I'm sure you'll forgive us.
See how tall I am?!

This is one of her favorite toys to play on- a musical prodigy? I'm sure of it ;)

The things that go in this kids' mouth... astounding she's still alive.

Looking out our front door.
Bye bye!

Bower's Farms

Another beautiful fun fall afternoon at Bower's Farm.

Corn mazes!

Which way?

This whole maze idea was obviously concerning for Sophia

Please notice how much taller the corn is than Rick (who is a little over 6'1")- woah.

Farm-y animals. Sophia got terrified by a very loud sheep. It was sad and hilarious at the same time. Btw- Rick totally looks like 'Farmer John' here, don't you think?

Who doesn't enjoy a good bale of pig-hay?

As I said- it was a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l day on the farm!

Wagon ride to the pumpkin patch!

Big pumpkin next to my little pumpkin

Sophia got cranky by this time of the afternoon

Discovering that she could eat a pumpkin helped her feel better. (and yes- I do get in the picture every once in awhile!)

Riding on the creepy wooden goat was the last straw for Sophia- haha! But all the rest of us had a fabulous time!

Blake's Apple Orchard

Fall fun in Michigan has to include a visit to a U-Pick apple orchard. We went with our friends to Blakes- a beautiful, fun day. Sophia loved sampling all different types of apples.

Daddy- daughter apple pickin' machine!

Also, raspberries- yummy, yummy, yummy.
