Spring???

It's looking and feeling like it might just be Spring?!
Sophia and Petra were elated to go to the park and play.

My two girls chasing each other.

And Sophia is finally strong enough to walk Petra.
It's more like Petra pulling her, but it's adorable.

Cutest little miss.

What a fun afternoon.

Tickle Fight!!

I'm studying and hear incessant giggles in the next room.
I go to look and find bedtime having taken a drastic turn into a tickle fight- these two silly's.
Got to love them.

Day in Detroit

We had a fabulous day exploring Detroit once again.
We started at Eastern Market, took a driving tour through downtown, and ate at Slow's BBQ.
It was fun and delicious- I grow to love this city more and more!
Here's the iconic abandoned Michigan Central Station.
Amazing building.

We stumbled upon this fantastic letterpress studio.
It was just phenomenal, and you could walk through the presses.

So cool.
Will definitely have to go back.

Day at the Circus

Neither of us have been to the circus- so when it came to town, it seemed like we had to go! It was classic- tigers through rings of fire, clowns, and acrobats. It was fun and completely overstimulating.

Kids are weird.

EVERY TIME we go to Costco, Sophia takes our coats and makes a bed in the basket to lay down on. It's so funny. I have no idea why - she LOVES Costco (like a lot). Maybe she likes the lights?
Weirdo.

"They're so beautiful!"

I've always waited for Sophia to ask to paint her nails- mostly because she still sucks her fingers and she probably shouldn't wear nail polish.
And the day finally came- my little girly girl with her beautiful nails.
She was so happy, it was ridiculous.

Couple of Graduates

A perfect picture of our nightly routine.
Study, study, study!
Maybe someday we'll watch TV at night, like a normal person.
Nah.

Mommy's little helper

Sophia loves to help make dinner.
Mostly she likes to "pretend" she's helping.
Here she's playing with the steam over our soup.
It tasted extra good.

Happy St Patrick's Day!

"Top of the Mornin' to ya!!"
Doing a jig!

We had fun decorating some rainbows and shamrocks out of peppers

And of course, searching for leprechauns.
She's my favorite leprechaun.

I love them more than anything.

Pi Day in Kalamazoo!

Sophia and I ran away to Kalamazoo for the day to visit some good friends and had so much fun at the Air Museum

It also happened to be Pi Day, so of course we had to celebrate appropriately.
Coconut Cream!

The cutest little judges voted yes on Pie!

Ann Arbor Day!

We spent a fun day in Ann Arbor exploring UofM and the Hands On Museum.

At the amazing Hands on Museum!
Life size Mouse Trap! She could spend forever here!

Ahh! Whose that guy?!

With the new health care law, things are changing rapidly...

Magnetic fluid! So cool!

Sophia dancing to the music wall!

Stop at the Archaeological Museum.
Me and Augustus having a staring contest.

Even Princesses Have to Work

Doesn't matter if you're a princess, you still have to help do laundry.
Princess Sophia is a towel folding pro.

Mad Scientist Hair

Literally 5 minutes into gymnastics.
She must get it from Rick.

Our friend Henry

Another morning at the Henry Ford.
Sophia's been super into building these cars lately.
I feel like an idiot, because I can barely put two wheels together.
Maybe she'll brake the mold and be a female engineer.

And of course, the BIG train.
She's so cute and little next to it.
I love her, and she loves it here.

She's a nerd already...

Staring at fluorescent rocks for 20 minutes.
Yep.
I love you, and I am sorry that you didn't stand a chance to be normal.
