Labor Day in MetroDetroit is a blast. There are tons of festivals and pageants going on, and we try and it them up. We spent Friday night with some friends at the Detroit Jazz Festival.
The largest Jazz Festival in the country right in the heart of the city on a beautiful summer night. It was fantastic listening to jazz legend, Sonny Rollins under the Detroit skyline.
The next day we went to Arts, Beats, and Eats in Royal Oak.
Downtown transformed into a carnival/art show/music festival/food fair.
It's one of our absolute favorite activities in Royal Oak.
Sophia loved the carrousel.
We bought her some cotton candy for the first time, and...
...she hated it! haha! No interest what so ever.

We had some people over for a big BBQ on Monday, and it was just perfect.
