Detroit Day: DIA

Watch out! Chairman Mao gonna eat you!

Rick and I are trying to get a feel of Detroit, and like to have mini-day trips to different interesting attractions. One of the main things to see her is the DIA- Detroit Institute of Arts Museum. It has all different periods, and a lot of well known artists (VanGogh, Picasso, Warhol) represented. It also offers lots of activities - indie/independent films, concerts, lectures, games. It is a pretty cool place- we even liked it so much we became members! So you might see some stuff from here again :)

Pandora and her box

They had a whole bunch of cool knight's suits

An awesome exhibit on Africa- I was obsessed with the details of the masks.

A snip-it from the Asia section

This place is HUGE and we didn't even get to see 1/4th of it yet. But all very interesting, no? (see me being interested)
