Bunnyville

The Zoo had an Easter themed day. We went with a couple of friends and had a grand time. Here's Sophia with the complimentary bunny ears- she was not such a fan.

Sophia got little bunny whiskers on her- Rick had to hold her hands while they did it because she kept trying to taste the paint brush.

Sending an Easter surprise.
I sent a little Easter surprise to all of our family- an egg in the mail! Included was a little Easter photo with a note, some fun stickers for the little ones, and yummy jelly beans. Nothing huge.

But I think it will be so fun when they get this in the mail!
The post office worker was so entertained when I came in to mail these. And so were all the other people in line.
It's no fun being far away from family during different holidays. So this is one small way to make it feel like we're together no matter where we are.

Let the games begin!

You may be thinking- another party?! Yep!
The Hunger Games movie came out, and I just couldn't help myself. We had a fabulously fun girls night to go see the movie, with a pre-movie party at my house.
Pinterest made me go (self admittedly) a little overboard :)

The Tesserae: "Each time you take an item of food, another entry in to the Hunger Games is required"
Just like the book/movie- we had a Hunger Games drawing. On top of each time you took food, we had a trivia contest. But unlike the book/movie, the winner didn't have to fight others to the death- but got a yummy prize instead.
It was a great night and another fun party!

Play time
Sophia's little buddy, Finn, came over the other morning and they got to play. They're 5 months apart, but are super cute together.
Finn showed Sophia how to use the riding feature on her train. Now she's all over it! Choo- choo!

Cool kids wear helmets
Just got this bike helmet for Sophia so we can take her riding. I was afraid she'd hate it and want it off, but she in fact loves it! She wanted it back on after I took it off?! I guess we're going to have fun biking this summer!

15 months

Yay for Sophia!
15 months- I swear she is just getting more and more personalty and just more and more fun.
Here are a few of my favorite things:
1) talk, talk, talk: here's all the words she says- it's crazy. Puppy (for obvious reasons- and for basically anything furry), hi, bye, daddy, mommy, balloon, peek-a-boo, baby, train (actually says choo-choo), uh-oh (I don't know why but she says this all the time?!), tickle, and diaper and banana (but both in Chinese). I can hardly keep up with this girl!
2) let me show you: she loves to point at everything now to show you what she wants. It's more like a point and grunt- cavemanish thing. Super cute. But she's also getting to learn her body parts- she can point to her ears, nose, head, feet, and tummy.
3) Tickle-monster: she loves to tickle anyone and anything. She grabs your foot and says tickle-tickle-tickle. And if no one is around? Why she'll just tickle her own feet! And laugh and laugh. She knows she is so funny.
4) Blowing in the... Kleenex. We all had the flu a few weeks ago and she saw us always blowing our noses. She picked up on it, and started taking the Kleenex and making a blow noise. It's not an effective tool at getting snot out, but it sure is cute. She does wipe her nose though. She also learned to blow on her food, albeit not super effectively.
5)Climbing: she loves to climb on and over stuff. Up on couches, slides, you name it. She hasn't mastered walking on her own yet, but she definitely gets around. You can tell she really is trying when she sees the other kids walking around. All in due time- I am in no rush to have a running child :)
6) Little chef: she always hated when I'd have to kind of ignore her and make dinner. So I let her stand on a chair next to me in the kitchen while I cooked (don't worry she was safe the whole time!) and watch and she had a blast! She played with the food and bowls and especially the sudsy water. It was the least amount of crying ever during dinner time- future foodie? I think so.
So there's the fun stuff- and now here's the fun pictures!
(oh, and excuse some of the blurriness, she's already too fast for me!)

Best mommies helper ever! I don't know how people don't have a dog to clean up after their kids- seriously. She picks up all the far-flung foods. Best. dog. ever.
I love how crazy her hair looks here- she's so fun!
Here's a video of some of her cool baby tricks!
